Students enrolled in Online Guided receive access to instructor support and additional learning resources designed to help them succeed.

These services provide feedback, accountability, and opportunities to practice and improve ASL skills.

Online Guided Includes

Instructor Email Support

Students may contact their instructor with:

  • Course-related questions

  • ASL vocabulary questions

  • Grammar questions

  • Assignment questions

  • Learning guidance

Assignment Grading & Feedback

Instructors manually review eligible submission assignments.

These may include:

  • Video Submission Assignments

  • Research Papers

  • Deaf Event Papers

  • Other instructor-reviewed assignments

Students receive grades and feedback based on assignment requirements and grading rubrics.

Verified Course Completion

When requested, Online Guided students may receive:

  • Verified course completion

  • Verified grade reports

These documents may be useful for schools, employers, or organizations that require completion verification.

Acceptance of these documents is determined by the receiving institution.

Online Group Practice Sessions

Practice Sessions provide opportunities to:

  • Practice signing

  • Build confidence

  • Review vocabulary

  • Improve receptive and expressive skills

  • Interact with other learners

Participation is optional.

Online Instructor Office Hours

Office Hours provide opportunities for students to:

Online Self-Study

Includes independent learning and automatically graded activities but does not include instructor feedback or grading.

Offline Course Downloads

Includes downloadable course materials for self-study but does not include instructor support or grading.
